At London Climate Action week Salesforce, the LEAF Coalition, Emergent, 1t.org, Symbiosis and the U.K. Government convened public, private, and grassroots leaders to share why investing in forests is not only a climate imperative - it’s smart business.

On the 55th anniversary of Earth Day, Emergent brought together corporate, community, and climate leaders for a virtual event spotlighting the urgent need, and business opportunity, to protect tropical forests. 

On February 11th, Emergent convened its first webinar of 2025 on "Understanding Indigenous Perspectives on Climate and Nature", in partnership with Environmental Defense Fund.

At the end of January, at a ceremony in the Amazon city of Puyo, Ecuador became the first country in the Amazon region to sign an agreement with the LEAF Coalition to access climate finance.

On Nature, Indigenous peoples and Gender day at COP29 in Baku, Emergent, the LEAF Coalition and the U.S. State Department hosted a session  exploring the critical issue of advancing high social integrity in voluntary carbon markets (VCMs) at the U.S. Center pavilion.

At Climate Week NYC 2024, we were delighted to welcome an audience of over one hundred including senior sustainability professionals, carbon markets actors and influential civil society organizations for a lively and engaging discussion.

At the Climate Pledge Hub at New York Climate Week, the LEAF Coalition brought together businesses, forest governments and Indigenous Peoples and local communities to discuss how the private sector can mobilize corporate funding to end deforestation by 2030.

The Natural Climate Solutions Alliance’s packed agenda for London Climate Action Week kicked off on Monday 24th with a panel event on the role of high-integrity forest carbon credits in supporting corporate climate and nature strategies. 

The vital role that the LEAF Coalition is playing in protecting tropical forests and helping prevent climate change was highlighted in a special event on accelerating high-integrity carbon markets, hosted by the US Department of State in Washington D.C. to mark Earth Day.
