The Progress of JREDD in Asia: Lessons Learned from Viet Nam
Viet Nam has moved faster than almost any other country in Asia in developing its jurisdictional REDD+ program. Hear directly from VNFOREST about its journey, the challenges it has faced, and the factors that have unlocked progress as it moves towards signing a historic agreement to access climate finance from the LEAF Coalition.
Technical partners will cover the behind-the-scenes infrastructure that means Viet Nam is likely to be the first country in Asia to have high-integrity credits issued—from forest monitoring to safeguards and benefit-sharing.
LEAF Coalition corporate participants and donor governments, including the Republic of Korea, the UK, and Norway, will share their perspectives on the progress made in Viet Nam and across Asia more broadly, and explain why they believe jurisdictional REDD+ is one of the most credible ways to finance the protection of Asia’s forests at scale.
Open to all Blue Zone badge holders. RSVP below to let us know you plan to attend.

Carbon Markets for Resilient Business: Reducing Risk and Driving Systemic Change
Building on the World Economic Forum–KPMG briefing paper, Building Carbon Markets that Deliver: A Public-Private Agenda, this event will explore how high-integrity carbon markets can move from a discretionary sustainability intervention to a strategic tool for corporate resilience, risk mitigation and long-term competitiveness.
Corporate demand remains constrained not only by questions of credit integrity, but by uncertainty over the business case, legal and reputational exposure, complex procurement, future price and supply risk, and a lack of alignment between sustainability and finance functions.
The session will therefore focus on the practical question facing corporate leaders: how can CSOs and CFOs jointly assess, finance and govern participation in carbon markets as part of an integrated approach to transition risk, supply chain resilience and future cost exposure?
